anyone? Just curious. Got one after I submitted my USMLE step 2 score, which was a little below average, but not terrible. Feeling kind of low today.
after the interview. I got a letter via mail saying I would not be ranked. I actually had improved from step 1 to step2 but was still just a little below the mean.
Sorry, I don't want to give out names. I know many residents/directors go on this forum and I am a little paranoid about posting sometimes. But before I went on the interview I asked God to lead me to the place that I am suppose to go. So I guess he has a bigger plan. I just wish it was not in the form of this rejection. I plan to practice interviewing with a friend this weekend before my next interview to make sure that my interviewing is solid and not the problem.
The issue of style points aside, I personally would LOVE to know if a program is not going to rank me as soon as humanly possible to save me the trouble of considering that a logical possibility and deciding where to rank the program.
I also would not be hurt by being told I am towards the middle or bottom of the list, that only helps me out... does anyone know what percent of programs do this in any way?
I mean, what if you really suck in some way and half of your 10 places don't rank you... or put your towards the middle/bottom of the list (more likely)... you are basically screwed!
