So who is sending them out? I haven't yet...but I think I will to programs I really like. I'd love to hear what other people are doing

i would add i also send a thank you to the program coordinator. these people spend a lot of time setting up the logistics of my visit, and serve as an initial contact, and i want to make sure they know their work is appreciated.

👍

Ditto on this one. I got a thank you email from one that I sent a note to.

Did you all send handwritten notes or e-mails? I sent the handwritten card.

Keep in mind I am a IMG who is 2 years out and mediocre USMLE scores.

I am sending handwritten notes to everyone : residents I interviewed with, faculty, program coordinator, and director. At one interview several residents kidnapped me for a lunch - they were not a formal part of the interview. One was a former grad of my school (and is now chief resident) and the other was a woman I met at the dinner the night before and who gave a tour of the town and her house showing what could be bought on a residents salary. I wrote them as well.

I write everyone. If it is a program I am not very interested in I may only send a letter to the PD. But if I am half way interested, I sent the thank yous to everyone involved in the interview and send them right away.

Yeah there are a few of the coordinators I have been considering sending a note to. I'm really behind on getting mine out, hopefully this weekend I can write up a few notes.

I'm basically trying to get letters to as many people who interviewed me as possible. I think I probably will write some notes to the coordinators as well, since they're the ones who really make you feel welcome during your visit.
