Just wondering if it is a common practice for program directors/chairman to send post interview letter/phone call to candidates?Is it a generic policy among some programs?
A few programs do, the vast majority don't. I received an email from one chairman, a snail-mail letter from another immediately after interviewing at their programs. I also got back some generic "Thanks, you're great too!" after sending out my thank-you letters.
