post operative hyperglycemia in hepatic lobectomy?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'm aware that postoperative hyperglycemia have be attributed to increased levels of catecholamines, GH, corticosteroids, and some pharmacologicals like heparin and b-blockers. Is there another mechanism within the liver that results in hyperglycemia after a hepatic lobectomy?

I'm not a medical student but wouldn't there be a lot more gluconeogenesis in the liver if there was extensive lactate (from glycolysis) if there was reduced blood flow during the operation? That might cause hyperglycemia.
