Hey all,
My first post here-- awesome website and looking forward many more happy returns!

I've surveyed the AMCAS instruction book, but couldn't find any info on what format the description of our Post-sec experiences should be. I've heard of most people doing this part resume-style-- listing aspects of each experience, but keeping it in comlete sentences.

Is anyone doing it a narrative style? Maybe giving a little more about what the experience meant to you, what you gained from it, etc... It seems that I could really elaborate on each experience, but I wonder if this is pretty out of the ordinary. 😕

Also, is anyone just listing an experience without giving ANY elaboration? Maybe "Dean's List" wouldn't require any more explanation?

Just wondering!
Best of luck to all!!

Narrative style for me. I just wrote a little story about each one.

I like narrative style. Each one is different though. If you want to put Dean's List down, there's not much to write other than "Made the Dean's List these semesters."

I don't think adcoms want to know how making the dean's list made you feel, or how it further enlightened your path to medicine.

I'd be interested to see who could do that though...

Thanks guys!
Writing a story is more fun than writing a resume anyway...
if this can be considered fun.
