Post Vacancy Match procedure?

A current intern told me that for clearinghouse I should have ready my letters of recommendation to email to sites with available positions. Is this true? I don't have copies of the letters because APPIC has individuals upload the letters themselves.

Thoughts?

It makes sense to ask your recommenders for pdf-versions you could use in the process or what they would prefer to do in the post-Match process. There will likely be some positions available from settings that were not involved in the Match at all so they may not have access to the online version of applications.
