postbac equivalent in Canada?

Hi all,

I am Canadian looking to increase my pre-med GPA - is there anyone in the same boat as me? Is there a post-bac equivalent in Canada or have retaken your prereq's again at a Canadian university?

I haven't heard of a true SMP at a Canadian university. Your options would be a true Masters of Science program or going to one of the many that are offered in the US. You can also study as a non-degree seeking student to retake your prereqs.

I do have a PhD and a MSc - hope that plus a good MCAT score will be good enough. If not, I'm going to look into the non-degree student option at UofT!

Hopefully with those credentials they can assume you have what it takes to handle the rigors of medical school. Good luck!
