I have a low accumulative gpa due to illness and I have a semester or two of F's. I read that postbacs do not like science majors to join their program. I am a major in biology, I haven't finished all credits yet, so its possible to change it if I need to. Im looking for a program that has linkage requirements, but im confused on cumulative gpa. Does this mean the university I graduated from? Does it include my cc credits? For example, I have the potential to graduate with a 3.8+ from the University, but my cc gpa is suffering.

What is your actual cumulative GPA and science GPA?

MY cumulative GPA is at a 2.8 for community college but it does not count every grade I ever recieved. If the postbacc program will count CGPA im unsure if ill be able to attend. I have to take 45 credit hours of hard science classes to finish my biology degree. If i maintain a 4.0 I would technically graduate with a 4.0 or 3.7-4.0. I have scored a high B on physics II. I was suffering from an illness and shouldnt have been in school at the time. I am wondering if its possible to expunge two semesters of school? Along with a postbac I may have a chance. Even though my CC gpa is 2.8, im sure my cumulative gpa is lower due to taking classes my advisors put me in that I didnt need to be in.

Is it just a W or WF?

ALL classes attempted, whether your institution has grade replacement or excludes them, are used for basis of GPA calculations for med schools.

Best to get everything in a spreadsheet or something and calculate. You will need to know this, and it’s best to not be surprised. Need to figure out what sort of ground you need to cover with improved grades, a consideration that will impact timing, too.

If it doesn’t count every grade you have ever received it isn’t your cumulative GPA. Your cGPA includes CC and university. Withdrawals show as Ws with no credit/grade earned. You can try to retroactively withdraw from your cc semesters. I’m sure there is a procedure in place. Go to the registrars office and ask. If your CC cGPA is 2.8 you didn’t earn two semesters of Fs. If you did you have left out many, many courses. So again, what is your cGPA and your sGPA? You asked for help but we can’t help unless you provide the info we need.

I have 43 credit hours of F. I am looking to get it expunged due to mental illness. Also I am going to try and get a certfication. Does this count as new gpa? I am looking into new associates to get a job in the medical field and I will be able to get 60-70 credit hours of good grades if I pull it off.
