I am confused on postbacs like goucher/bryn mawr or smp programs like Temple's ACMS. I am currently a reapplicant bio major. 3.7/3.75 gpa and 510 MCAT, plenty of volunteering, shadowing, research, etc but after an unsuccessful cycle and now my letters are super late making my application incomplete at schools I am looking to apply for some program thats a direct path. Do programs like goucher/bryn mawr let people in if they are science majors? Does temple let people not from their area in my situation in?

I have to be blunt, the reason you haven't been accepted is NOT due to your stats. Taking a post-bac or SMP would be a waste of money.

Don't worry about your LORs being late.

When were you complete last cycle, and to what schools did you apply?

Complete October and applied broadly to 40 schools. In file reviews for schools they told me 1. I was late and 2. I was "lost" in a sea of good applications. I am unaware if those programs like Bryn Mawr/Goucher accept trads like me with all the prereqs. I am also unaware on if Temples ACMS would accept a "trad" like myself I read something where they prefer other people...

Apply early next cycle and you will probably have a better time. Your GPA/MCAT do not need fixing.

As others have stated, dont take more courses. Being complete at the last minute does nothing but hurt you. If you're completely accurate that you have competitive ECs, then I would try to be complete by July and have secondaries pre-written by that time

Thanks all for the input, however I got my secondaries in in July but I'm always waiting on the committee letter which wont be in for a while and at most schools they won't look at an app until everything is in. Because of the factors I cant control affecting my chances I am looking for a program with good linkage. Would an SMP be best or can a bio major get into a place like Bryn Mawr or Goucher?
