Okay, so I haven't totally lost hope of acceptance yet, but just in case- does anyone know about any post bacc programs where you don't have to be considered disadvantaged to attend. I heard of one at UCLA but haven't been able to confirm it. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Good luck to those of you who are still waiting like me!😉

Maybe I misunderstand your question, but I don't know of any post-bac programs where you have to be disadvantaged to attend. Maybe you have to be disadvantaged to attend for FREE, but to take classes, they don't care.

You can find by-state listings of schools that offer official post-bac programs, some of which link directly to medical schools, on-line (no URL to offer, but you can just do a search), or you can just go re-take classes at any school and re-apply on your own. Being in a program may give you better acess to the school's pre-med office services. You pay whatever the going per-credit tuition rate is at the school, usually, whether you are in a program or not.

Yep - alot of post bacs are for disadvantaged students only - check out the aamc website - it give a listing of each program and tells you if it is for disadvantaged students only (financial or race).

Drexel has a great post bac program

Goodluck!

Most colleges/ universities will let you take classes as a "special student" as long as you already have your Bachelor's degree. I got 30 hrs of post-bacc credit without being in a "post-bacc program"... I guess it depends on what you're looking for. If you do this and only have to pay in-state rates at a state school it is really inexpensive. I got all of my science LOR's this way.
