Postoperative endophthalmitis i did look it u in uptodate and it says Gram positive bacteria without going into more detail.

but i have been told Actinomyces is the common cause of it. but isn;t it oral flora? all i could find about actinomyces is that it causes canaliculitis.

So my question is what bug is the common cause for post operative endophthalmitis. I am not sure i agree with "actinomyces" been the default choice.

mind you they don't mention "coagulase negative G.P" they mention specific bacteria.
