postponing DAT

Hey guys,

I'm scheduled to take DAT the 22nd this month, but i feel like i need more time to prepare for it. So I'm thinking early-mid July. Is it too late? I've submitted my application on 6/6/07. I'm definitely faxing my scores to the schools on the day of. I've heard some schools start their interview process in August. Also, how long does it take for schools to receive my official DAT scores?

You might want to contact the schools prior to faxing them your results. Most won't accept anything but the official version mailed to them by the ADA. If you're lucky, they might accept them just to get an idea about how you did.

I postponed mine too to July 10th last year. I sumbitted like May 20th. I came home from my 8am test, entered my scores on AADSAS and my application was mailed that day!!!!! Woo-hoo. Moral of the story, your application wont be mailed till mid July so I think be the end of July should be good. Ya and faxes to schools prob wont work. I think it is better to get awesome scores later (up to say, mid-August) than OK scores submitted early. Good luck

I've just seem people's posts on here that they got their interviews as early as in august. and also, on websites like predents.com, people do get interviews starting august.
