I know of a potential PGY2 opening for this July, but because of verbal agreements (i.e.,legal BS), it will not be confirmed until July. This is not definite. If you know of anyone that didn't match with a strong record, preferable US citizen, etc., keep in touch.

Although I will be matching again for 2008 and have something for next year I am interested.
PLease PM me with any additional info (where, who to call etc.)

Thanx

I am very interested in this position. I am currently finishing my PGY-1 yr. I originally matched into radiology, but have decided to switch to ophtho. I was planning on applying for the 2008 match, but would have to sit out two years. I would much rather start ophtho as soon as possible. Where is this position located?

Everyone that has PM'd me or left a post. I'll keep you on my list to notify if the spot does come open. I will not know for sure until July 1, so I can't give much details now. Thanks for your interest.

Dear Optho1222,
I am responding to your post about the potential position on behalf of my fiance. He's finishing up his prelim year of Surgery, so as you can imagine, he rarely has time to get onto forums and websites. He applied to Optho this past match season, and although interviewed well, unfortunately was unable to match. He is planning to take a year off and do research because he is entirely committed to the field of optho. I'm not sure which state your program is in, but if you can keep us in mind and let us know...that would be wonderful.

I know a very qualified candidate (AOA, published bench research, completed PGY1), ready to start.
Your program director would be pleased.
Please advise.
