I want to score around 230 on Step 1. What do you think I should be hitting on USMLEworld/Qbank questions? I am doing 46 practice questions a session right now and getting around 58% on average but I still have a month until my exam. Do I need to be in the 65%-75% range?

PS Does anyone else notice how First Aid gets all smudged when you use certain pens with it? That really bothers me. 🙂

Do the best you can. A good bet would be at least a long term trend of 65% on random timed UWORLD blocks of 48.

Of course take a few practice tests, as they are the best predictors.

+1 on the practice test idea. I vote UWSA b/c you can look at the answers so its kind of like studying at the same time but NBME might be more accurate as to what your score would be (although I hear the UWSA isn't far off either usually).

Yep, I would vouch for a 65%+ trend atleast.I am sure you'll make it higher than that with the amount of time you have on your hands.

Smudges?! Hell yeah, one BIG reason, along with it being all tattered due to chronic usage why my FA has no re-sale value at all.Not that I wanna part with it anyway

Sharpie pens don't smudge at all in it!! Or books with glossier pages (ie RR Path). Has saved me tons of annoyance at smudgy pages to use these pens for the in-the-book writing.

Quick update:
USWA1 230 (10 days out)
USWA2 240 (5 days out)
Actual 241

Overall Qbank 59% but my last 8 46 question segments were all over 70%.

I thought the test was really hard at the time and was really afraid i failed after but I was soooo shocked to see my score. Have faith.

I used FirstAid, QBank and some kaplan lecture books. Let me know if I can provide any more specific info. I am so super pumped with my score.

Interestingly enough, my score was approximately my recent UW% x 322. Kind of makes sense.
