Practicing EM coming from the US

Anyone know what happens if you do an EM residency in the US and then apply to work as an ED in Canada? The pure EM program is 5 years in Canda, right? And the programs in the US are 3 or 4 years. So will the Canadian system not allow you to work as an ED coming from the states because the training was shorter? Or do they consider it equivilant? Thanks!

You have to do the full 5 years to practice EM in Canada. Alternatively do Family Med and then tack on the 1 year fellowship in Emergency Medicine.
