Practicum interview

I'm interviewing for practicum somewhere that does forensic assessment. Part of the interview is a writing task. Any ideas on what this may be? I doubt it would be a report because they take students who do not have report writing experience. Second question, my goal is to go into forensic psychology. I had an interview with a hospital (inpatient setting, treats SMI) and they said they will be ranking me #1. I'm torn between that site and this forensic assessment site... Which would "look better" for internship? I know internship is about fit, and I plan on applying to primarily forensic settings.

If you want to do forensic assessment, the forensic assessment site is better. If you want to treat SMI patients, then the hospital will be better. Forensic internships like inpatient experience, though.

From what I have heard, the writing assignment could be interpreting an MMPI-2-RF or WAIS. You could also be asked to remove the jargon from a write-up and replace it with normal language. If they don't expect you to have had a lot of experience, it is unlikely you will be asked to interpret a forensic measure like a SIRS-2. However, if they do not expect ANY report writing experience, it could just be a non-psych writing assignment. Perhaps you can ask some more advanced students from your program what to expect?
