practising vs practicing

on my application, i wrote "practising" instead of "practicing."

is this wrong?

Use practicing. Practising is correct for non American English (i.e. Britain and Australia), but is not correct by American spelling standards. If, as I assume, you are applying to American medical schools, then you should stick with American spelling conventions.

Edit: if you have already sent the application with it saying "practising," I wouldn't sweat it. I seriously doubt it will hurt you in any meaningful capacity.
