Ya, I have a really good friend of mine (we grew up together) down at NOVA. Luckily his wife is back in Utah right now visiting family. And I have another friend doing Oral Surgery at NOVA. On a positive note, maybe they will get a break from school 😀 😀 😀

Man, I only worry about two things:

1) flood
2) no electricity => no football games on Saturday!

We'll see for sure by tomorrow morning if Fort Lauderdale will be out of the loop. Frances is just south of 24 degree latitude. Once it passes 25 degree latitude, Miami is out of the loop, once it passes 26 degree then Fort Lauderdale is out of the loop.

It's crasy down here right now, gas stations out of gas, people getting cash out of ATMs, plywood is becoming the hottest commodities for boarding houses. 5 of us just helped one of our classmates boarding up her house. It took us 5 hours!

If it hits us straight on at Fort Lauderdale, dude, modern lifestyle as we know it will be suspended for weeks! No electricity, water supply, restaurants and all business will be closed, flooding.....WOW...

Tomorrow will be the day to tell here Frances will visit and demolish.

Keep us posted on the details. My family is in Orlando. They are VERY worried. They live in new homes though so that is a plus. (they have hurricane protection on the new ones from what they told me) I hope this isn't a horrific tragedy! 🙁

I really hope Ivan dies down a bit, I really can't take this no more. I'm lucky that I even have power... I have many friends, as we speak, without power. We Floridians are getting it good this year.

It's suppose to weaken but it would still pack a punch. Now it's category 5 😱

Jamaica and Cuba are going to get the worst of it.

Granada basically was flattened according to the news. That is too bad for all those people down there. I hope it lets up real quick here, or it could be really bad for the US too.
