So I'm in community college planning to transfer to University of Pacific for dental school. I wasn't serious about school until now that I'm halfway done with my Sophomore year. I found that i really didn't know what i was doing.

What are the steps to getting into the school? I know i need to take the required courses and the DAT, but that's about it. When do i take the DAT? What can I do to higher my chances of entering the school? I know I'm asking a broad question, but anything will help.

I'm pretty sure you have to be "accepted" into the program from high school. Call to make sure.

The accelerated program at UoP is for straight out of high school only. To get into their dent school though, you need to apply like anyone else. Each dental school has their requirements, so you'll have to check their individual sites to figure out what classes you'll need to take and which ones require a bachelor's (even if they don't require one, most applicants have one).

Hey, I can't help too much since I'm in your basic situation.
What I do know is that you take the DAT after you've taken O-Chem 2. The DAT is valid for about 3 years but it varies among programs (some will require it to be within 2 years...etc.)
You apply for schools a year before you would matriculate.
Also, I would make sure your pre-reqs are done at the 4 year, not the community college you were at.
