I have a question. I have been reading in some replies about pre health committee letters. What are they? Are they just letters of recommendation? Help. Thanks!

Some schools have pre health committees that write a letter basically summarizing the qualities of each applicant (whether vet or med) -- writing a separate recommendation letter summarizing recommendations the applicant got from prof's and others. They also rate the candiate on a scale from 1-5 (i think) and conduct their own interviews with applicants -- it's also supposed to help prepare for real interviews with med schools.

They're very important if you read the other topic on pre health committee letters.
