I'm having some difficulty figuring out what my first semester classes will be.

I plan to major in Biology and get a minor in Spanish. I'm not sure if I should begin to take Spanish classes my first year or hold off on the Spanish for sophomore year.
In high school I only went up to pre-calculus, so I need to take trigonometry before I jump into a calculus class.
Here's what I'm thinking:

Plan A:
General Biology & lab
Trigonometry
Spanish or psychology
English

Plan B:
General Biology & lab
General Chemistry & lab
Trigonometry
English or psychology or Spanish

I think I'm leaning toward plan B because its more rigorous (but hopefully not too rigorous).
I have a pretty good background in biology and decent in Chemistry. Math has always been my weakness.

Any opinions, suggestions, maybe even a plan C?

I'd vote Plan B. Most pre-meds double Gen Bio and Gen Chem freshman year, so it won't be too bad. I'd suggest taking Spanish your first year, if not in the fall, then absolutely in the spring. I tested into Spanish 4 my freshman year and by the time I was able to take the next class for the Spanish minor, I was too rusty for the advanced conversational class and decided against it. You probably don't want to wait a year before taking a Spanish class again (unless you are just beginning, then it doesn't matter when you start).

I would say Plan C: do Chemistry, Trig, Spanish, and either Pysch or English.

I say this because you might want get Chem 1 and 2 and Spanish 1 and 2 out of the way during freshman year so you can do orgo 1 and 2 and Spanish 3 and 4 your sophomore year. Physics for third year.

I don't suggest Plan B: You will have enough time to major and minor and finish pre-med prereqs. Since it will be your first semester, you want to give yourself time to adjust to the new setting, develop your study habits, and get involved on campus etc.
