My Daughter (senior in High School) is applying for colleges only in New York. She is interested in the pre-med program. She has applied to Binghamton University, SUNY Stonybrook, SUNY Genesseo, SUNY New Paltz, Syracuse University, RIT, and the University of Rochester. She has got accepted for the 7-year Pre-Medicine/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Program at SUNY New Paltz/New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has to go for the interview in March Do you think it's a nice program? Is there someone familiar with OD?s? I would like to know about the Osteopathic Medicine Program. What is the difference between Osteopathic doctors and general allopathic doctors? What fields (specialties) are open for OD's? Should she go for this program or go to other universities like SUNY Binghamton? Please let me know.
