Hi, I have a question regarding letters of recommendations.

My school's pre-professional advising does not do a good job in explaining the application process, specifically about the letters of recommendations.

I have looked online about AADSAS, and I know that one can enter their teachers' email address, so the professors can send the letters of recommendations to AADSAS.

However, my school's advising is adamant about me starting a pre-professional folder.

What would you guys suggest?

i have the same question! i'm the only predent at my school, and there's a lot of pressure to just send me through the chute like a premed, which doesn't sound like a good idea to me. has anyone else experienced this?

If your committee writes you a letter, it's a good idea to send your recs through that. In fact, many schools required you do this if your school has a pre-health committee. If your school doesn't have one, then just send it directly through AADSAS. It's definitely more efficient and you can confirm everything's in.

I used my school's service instead of AADSAS.

Pros:
Faster
More Reliable
Easier

Cons:
More Expensive
Couldn't apply to UCSF

May I ask how it more expensive?
