Quick question:

Taken a full year of general/physical (inorganic) chemistry.

only one half-course had a lab component; the other half did not have a lab component. School I attended did not offer a laboratory component for the second half-course.

So I do have a full year (2 semesters) of chem, but one semester of labs.

Is that okay?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I can't really answer your question but transcript from my school does not indicate whether the lab was taken. Lab grade is calculated into the final class grade. I don't see how med schools can know if there was a lab. Did you get a normal number of credits for the class without a lab?

Hi Apparition,

Thanks for the reply!

Yup I got the 3 credits for the course w/ no lab, and 3 credits for the course w/ a lab

So I have 6 credit hours of general/physical (inorganic chem)

Do you think that'd suffice?

You might want to talk to a pre-med advisor or call some schools to be sure but I think that as long as you took a year of general chem that pre-meds at your school take, you should be fine.
