Pre-reqs - Semester/Quarter

I'm currently a 3rd year under-grad student at Ohio State, and in looking over schools I have found that some schools require what they say "1 year of english."

Since Ohio State is on a quarter system, I only needed to take 2 quarters of english classes (3 quarters makes up a year). While in the semester system, 2 semesters worth of english classes takes up the full year.

Should I take another english class next year?

ucla is the same quarter system. if the school's website does not have the amount of credit hours (alot say like 6 semester, 8 quarter hours or something like that) give them a call. it cant really hurt to take more english unless it prevents you from taking a pre req.

thanks. i might just ask my advisor and see what they have to say as well. i just thought some people here would know, if they have been through it.
