Pre-requisites for Quarter System

I wanted to specifically ask if UC Davis requires me to take two quarters of Biochemistry... their site says one semester of Biochemistry, but if I check using their ASSIST program which Biochemistry they accept, it's my school's Biochemistry II (which has a prerequisite of Biochemistry I).

I'm fairly sure I already know the answer to this, and I sent an email to UC Davis to clarify, but I wanted to see if anyone here already knew this answer.

I only had Biochem 153A and that was sufficient from UCLA (qtr system), but that is what ASSIST said I needed. There are many things that ASSIST listed that needed multiple pre-reqs so they don't really list all the courses you actually need. If it says Biochem II then generally you need Biochem II. Having said that, UCDavis seemed pretty willing to work with me the Animal Physiology prereq so perhaps they can be flexible.

And I would recommend you take biochem II anyway. The extra prep always helps.

Thanks so much! Turns out, I need both quarters to satisfy the UC Davis prereq... at least from my school. Did you need to take the lab for UC Davis' prereq as well?

You don't need to take biochem lab. 🙂

Yeah they are pretty quick! The only source of confusion was that the prereq they replied and told me I needed to take was CHEM 437, but my school has 437 split up into A and B (lecture and lab).
