pre studying and tpr free 50 questions

I havent started studying and we still havent had renal, GI, MSK, endocrine and repro..and nutrition... I went ahead and took the free 50 from TPR and scored only 40%. I wanted to know if step one questions are usually as straight forward as TPR. This was my first experience with anything step 1 related, and I felt with the proper studying it wont be too bad of a test. It didnt seem like like they were trying to trick me. Is this the typical consensus of the exam?
