Hi all,
Ok so here is the deal. I took precalculus this summer thinking it would help me refreshing my math skill because I want to take the Oct PCAT, and also Calc I this Fall. Anyway, I am sooo regretted!!!! It was so hard and dense, I got a C (high C but school does not use -/+ system)!!! Does it going to look bad on my application?, I know it not a preregs. I really don't want to repeat it. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated 🙂 Thanks all.

Do not retake it- wast of time. Just ace the Calculus. Even though it's not easier than pre-calc, it's a little bit different and might suit your mind composition better. Don't despair!

Do not fret. I've always hated math but found that my calculus class was very different than my precalc class and I received a much better grade in calc than I did in precalc.

Same here. I struggled and fought hard to get a B in pre-calc. Ended up making an A in calculus. Like the others said, don't waste time retaking it. Even though it's a pre-requisite for some schools, it is not for many others. Just make sure to ace Calculus.

Thank you guys. Now I feel a bit better. Since it is a 4 hrs credit class so it hurts my GPA a lot. I only have Calc I left for prereqs so I probably wait till the spring to take it. I think this semester I will focus 👍 on studying for the Oct PCAT only and may be (but hopefully not) the Jan PCAT.
