I have been accepted to a medical school and they are allowing me to choose my 3rd year rotations.

I am leaning towards primary care, so maybe it does not matter if it is preceptor or ward or where I go??

Thanks!

(Lastly, during the 3rd year, does the rotation site we pick carry out for the entire year?)

I would def choose Ward base. It doesn't mattered you are interested in PC or not, you'll still have to do a residency. As a third year, you should be training to be a good resident, not an attending. Preceptor based may work for your FM and Psych rotations however, just to give you some outpatient experience. But majority should be wards based.
