Is there a special dress code during the first yr of school. Can't really get a clear answer anywhere. If it is special, woud like to buy some while i stll have a job. I know that cinicals have a dress code. I'm talking about a dress code while sitting in class learning biochem or somthing.

You are going to norcal, you should ask my boy thetachi where all the trendy boutiques are.

No dress code at Barry during first 2 years... tee/polo and jeans/shorts with flip flops tended to be trend. During 3rd year (MWF clinic, Tu/Th classes), we were supposed to wear business casual or scrubs to class... just like we did to clinic.

My only advice would be to buy a couple dirt cheap pairs of anat lab scrubs... wash em weekly or at least monthly, and plan on destroying them at the end of first year after gross anat and LEA. The fixatives are tough to ever get rid of. Some ppl made the mistake of buying nicer, more expensive, trendy, matching scrubs... and I sure hope they never made those into clinic scrubs. Who knows, tho.

Roll out of bed. Brush teeth, put on deodorant (shave sometimes). Grab clean t-shirt, sweats (cut to shorts when it gets hot out), flip flops, baseball cap. Go to class. Rinse repeat.

Thanks guys. I'm not sure why Ithought the dress code was business casual during year 1.
