precommitment jitters

Do you all find this kind of ironic??
Just months ago we were padding our personal statements, writing essays, and working our butts off just to convince these schools that we were WORTHY of attending.
And now here we are freaking out and wondering if we really ARE worth it, or if we just know how to write convincing personal statements.

For the record, I, too, am scared S*!*less.

My thoughts exactly. When I got pulled off the waitlist my first thought was "I'm going to med school!" and my second was "omg are they crazy? I can't be a doctor!" I hope this will wear off once we get into the rhythm of things. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who's freaking out and we're all in this together. 🙂

I think I feel the opposite of most of you guys. My biggest fears are moving to a big city (well bigger town), being away from my moutains, and the whole social thing. My school is heavily BPL, and I'm terrified that I'd end up like one of the stereotypes in those skits on youtube.
But other than worrying about being a very small guppy in a big ocean, I'm surprizingly not worried about the work load. After four years of trying to get in, and gleaming medicine from H&P's and shooting the **** with ICU nurses over a few margaritas, I'm (perhaps foolishly) looking forward to being force-fed information.

And all in all, it's not too bad. I'm married, so home is wherever the husband is. And we're hoping to rent a place about 5 or 6 miles east of the med. school right by the moutains.

Now if only I can find someone to rent my place...

You do realize it's not really "force feeding" per se; it's much more similar to "drinking from a fire hydrant through a straw."
