Hello all-
I figured it would be better to post this on the dental forum--seeing as how u guys actually got in!--
Im writing my essay- as well as answering questions about my GPA and the fact that its very inconsistent. its in 3.3s range, but inconsistent. like i have As in college, then I have Cs the next yr with scattered A's. Community college to Univ. Houston to Texas A&M.
however, i do have a reason for lack of motivation/lack of being able to maintain grades. I was diagnosed with sciatica (bulging disc in my lower lumbar) which basically disables me from sitting (causes me trouble in class/walking/sleeping etc) and impairs me. physical therapy for it for about 4 months, then some homeopathy and then yoga. didnt help, if anything it might have made it worse. its been about 1 yr and a half with this problem and now im finally opting for a non invasive procedure--if that doesnt work-- surgery this summer. would this be something valid to explain to dental schools for the inconsistencies or would this be counted against me in that dentists often have to be agile seeing as how they sit in various positions etc?
Thank u all for reading/replying.
