GAVIN whats the deal here, best way to publicize site and you keep closing the thread!!! Its a site worth making a big deal about and instead of embracing it with more publicity your shutting it down. The more people know about it the more it can be usefull to all the predents. Even though people are giving opinions and comments it bumps it up to to the top so that more people get to know the site better. One thread worth having and you shut it down.

It would be nice to have a sticky thread, but that may not be possible!

Keep spreading the word! I got some cool stuff coming in the next few weeks...including the Canadian schools (plus soap carving score for the CDAT) so stay tuned!

Why not have a hyperlink to your original thread in your sig in addition to your site? That way people can always go back to it. It's a great site, but it's not very nice to "advertise" (I don't see it that way though) it on another site that has too many things in common with yours. Enjoy doing it before school starts. 👍

I can see how some might think it's advertising another website, but that is not my intention at all.

As I stated a few times, I am not competing with SDN. Because of this I will not add features that SDN has (forums, interview feedback, etc). I am only adding stuff to "complete" SDN in the way I think it should be (and other predents). Having been a predent myself, I know what I would have liked to see. The whole thing started because I wanted to organize all the "official" theads (interviewed, attendance, attending, etc.) and also all those "what are you stats? If you don't mind" questions. If I didn't get such a positive reaction when I first launced the website I would have canned it and deleted it from my server. It's not to make $.

In fact I have been contacted by the higher-ups of SDN and was asked to share links in a sort of partnership so there is no competition between us. I was also offered a price for my scripts to make a similar website for med, opt and pharm applicants. I may or may not do this. That's down the road.

Again, thanks to all my supporters. It's really the only reason I work on this website!

Here's a couple of friendly suggestions: You should add a "Waitlisted" status too. Also, the profile should include an option to include whether or not you are a reapplicant or not.

well, dont forget, the more you ask questions, the more uncomfortable SDNers would be with creating profiles. as it is, many SDNers dont wanna set up profiles.

That's a good point. I have to balance what I think other people really want to see with how much trouble it is to fill it out. I want it as simple as possible.

I will add "waitlist date" though.

BTW, FightingSpirit, did you notice I changed your name from supercanine back to fightingspirit? 🙂
