Prelim PGY 1 Programs

Happy almost new year!!

I was wondering how I could find the programs that had Prelim spots for OB. Someone told me they didn't exist anymore and I couldn't find them on Frieda when I looked.

Also residents that are already in programs, how does your program look at prelim candidates? Are the programs quick to accept someone that has completed one of these programs?

Last question. Do any of your programs have any PGY 1 spots taht are avaliable to start NOW. I did look on ACOG and see that they have no spots listed, wasn't sure if programs always posted open spots on there.

When I search on FREIDA, I find 20 programs that offer preliminary positions, most of them in NY.

When searching on FREIDA, don't just search for OB/gyn programs. Also search for "optional criteria" - there is an option that allows you to search for programs that offer prelim positions.
