one place to watch out for is Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY,
first off, they have this over the top theatrical morning report(which I have heard is the same report used over and over again) and then they play this weird mind game of where the interviewer tells you they stepped out and missed the morning report and precede to pimp you on the subject matter( I know becuase I had this done to me and another applicant I ran into at another prelim interview told me the same thing happened to her with a different interviewer), and also we were never allowed to interact with any prelim interns(only pgy 3's , alot of good that does for someone looking to work at a place for one year and head into a totally different direction), I mean, the few interns(not sure if prelims or categorical) we did see at morning report looked haggard, sullen, and then quickly wisked away as the interviewing began, and no, this is not my overreaction(had the interview over 2 weeks ago) and was my 7th prelim interivew and I had never encountered a place or program like this, it seemed the leadership there seemed to be putting on quite an act, this place gave me the impression you bust your butt alot harder than other places, and its not even in NYC, at least then I could understand, but this place is out of NYC, and then I ran into another applicant who was a 4th year med student there and they told me not so great things, so all I am sayiung is, wish somebody would have told me so I wouldn't have wasted an interview day and money on going to this weird place
