not many interviews. I am wondering if it is possible for me to match into a prelim/transitional for one year and look for opening for CA-1 for the year following. Any clarification will be highly appreciated.

Certainly think it's been done before. Many categoricals seem to have more CA-1 spots than their PGY-1 matches, or for advanced, allow a few to trickle in outside the match.

How do you think all the cutters slide into anesthesia?
