prelim/transitional year interviews

hi all,
just got my first prelim medicine interview invite, and i was just wondering what these interviews are like? are they all-day, seven attending-interview affairs? what kind of questions do they ask? (i'm assuming they're not going to focus on my research, etc.) are they as formal as categorical interviews?
