Which will prepare me better to take Step 3
w/ the least supplemental studying?

Trany? Isn't that a transvestite? If so, then I'd definitely go for the pre-lim year instead of spending a year as a transvestite!

Remember, even path residents (like me) pass Step 3, so you should just do what is best for you and dont worry about Step 3.
