My goal is to do internal medicine but I see that I may have a much better chance of getting a FM spot especially in SOAP since there are so many more offered. I'm curious to know if It would be a good decision to go for a medicine prelim spot vs a FM residency if my goal is to do internal. What are the chances of finding a categorical PGY2 or matching PGY1 IM the following year?
