Sorry if I am repeating a question that had already been answered in the past. I am almost through with my medicine internship getting ready to begin the PGY-2 in Neurology. I was wondering which year is physically/mentally harder, more exhausting: the medicine internship or first year in neurology. I mean, it must be hard being on call all year long (at least in the program I am joining it is q5 call for the entire year). Any idea?
Any input much appreciated.

Intern year is probably psychologically more difficult, since you're doing mainly IM, which isn't your area of interest. Whether neuro is more difficult or not, I can't say, but the mental relief of finally being in your chosen specialty is probably pretty nice.
