I am hopefully starting a formal postbac program in the fall and have not taken a single math or science course in over 5 years. I literally do not remember a thing. Should I spend the summer brushing up on calc/chem or anything else? How much should I expect my classmates to know going in to these courses and how much do I need to know to be competitive? Any advice would be much appreciated!!

No.
Enjoy your last days of freedom! And be ready to work hard when it starts!

When I got into my postbac and was still working, I borrowed my friends MCAT book and tried to prelearn some of the general chemistry on the train to work. It probably made my life slightly easier as concepts seemed vaguely familiar as I covered them in class. My program recommended that we brush up on some pre-calc level math before we started, so that would probably be something good to do. My line of work was pretty statistics and numbers heavy, so it wasn't that much of an issue, but if you really haven't touched math for that long, it's probably a good idea to review. Your postbac program may have recommendations on how/where to do so.

It's entirely up to you if you want to brush up on this stuff. I was pretty excited about starting the program, and doing this was one way to embrace this drastic change in my life.

And don't worry about your classmates, they are going to be in the exact same boat as you.
