Hello everyone. I was just accepted to a DPT program and I'm looking for advice on preparing for classes starting in August 08. I was planning on reviewing muscle action/insertion/origin/innervation, and medical terminology. Any suggestions? Let's say I want to hit the ground running, or at least not be scrambling to review material during the semester.
Feedback is greatly appreciated

probably not the answer you're looking for, but i say use your time left before starting the program to relax and get other things done. all of the studying will come soon enough, there's really no reason to worry about it beforehand. i would hold off on that, but it's up to you. for me, the best preparation was getting things done that i knew i wouldn't be able to do once the program started.. home projects, lasik eye surgery, any appointments (i definitely recommend doing this before starting the program - my first semester was 8-5 M-F so it would've been impossible to go to the dentist and such, glad i did all that before), work & save money, etc etc etc... anyway, it's up to you. if you really feel the need to get ahead of everyone else, i say review a college anatomy textbook. good luck!

I echo the fish's post. enjoy yourself. Remember, some of the people in your class are psych majors or 35 year old theater arts majors looking for a second career and haven't had anatomy. You will be fine.

thank you both for the advice. I'll probably spread out the muscles studying while I enjoy some free time. I like the idea about getting things done I won't have time for in school. I've already started by getting some fillings done 👎
