I really enjoyed Organic Chemistry as a Second Language by David Klein. Are there any books like that for biochemistry or physics that I can study over the summer in preparation for next semester?

Biochemistry for dummies is pretty good. I am using it now to prepare for the fall.

summers are valuable.
use them to sleep, exercise, eat good food, and maybe do research and study for the MCAT.
but. for all my pre course prep work I used Khan academy and youtube videos. 10/10 would recommend.

Khan Academy, and I actually used my Kaplan Biochem Review book to get primed for Biochem, which I'm taking right now. Working well so far.
for khan academy, did you just search for biochemistry or what resources did you use on the website that helped you best? Thanks!

i searched the specific topics I didn't understand... so I didn't just watch like every biochemistry video ever.

Particular topics in Biochemistry are Glycolysis, Citric Acid Cycle, Pentose Phosphate Pathway, Gluconeogenesis, Glycogenolysis, enzyme kinetics, protein binding behavior, oxygen saturation, etc.

I hate biochemistry and physics.
