I am about to start my M2 year and am trying to formulate a strategy for step 1. My school takes step following year 3 so I would like to get some input on how best to time the use of qbanks and other resources. My goal is obviously to score as high as I can, but I would be happy with 250+.

M2 year:
- Continue making ANKI cards straight from first aid (I currently have decks for every chapter of first aid for all year 1 material)
- Follow allong each block with pathoma and make more anki cards from this as I see fit
- Kaplan Qbank along with each block
- Goljan audio along with each block (I have a 30 min commute)

M3 year:
- By the start of M3 I should have all of first aid in ANKI format. My plan is to keep running through my decks throughout third year to keep material as fresh as possible (about 150 reviews/day should allow me to stay current on all decks since I wont be adding new cards)

Dedicated study following M3 (~6 weeks or so):
- UWorld
- NBME practice tests
- try and make one pass though all of my anki cards (I estimate that I will have about 20k cards, so over 42 days thats about 480 cards/day, which averages down to about 4 hours a day.

Questions:
1. I thought it would be better to use Kaplan Qbank over USMLERx since my anki decks are essentially FA in anki format, such that Qmax would be somewhat redundant. Curious to hear others' thoughts on this.
2. Should I try an go though a Qbank during year 3? Or should I focus on just retaining as much material as possible?
3. Any other advise is welcome, especially from those with experience with taking step 1 following 3rd year.

Thanks!
