first and foremost, congrats to all of you who've been admitted thus far and to those who will be admitted in the near future...it almost feels like i've applied with you all since i've been keeping an eye on sdn for a while now.

i had a question i was hoping you guys could clarify for me:

From what i've heard/read, there is a form that needs to be attached to each transcript sent and each letter of recomendation, and these wont be available until the application is up in may, so do we have to wait until those forms are available and send in our transcripts and lor's after may 15th? is there anyway to send them in advance? do we have to wait until these forms are available to have our LOR's written, signed and sent in?

i ask this because we have a LOR service that keeps any LORs on file until its time to send them out, in which case they change the date on the LOR and send them all out at the same time

thanks in advance and congrats again to everyone!

I did not attach the form to my transcript, and it arrived just fine. LORs need them though.

AADSAS has messed up a lot of things for a lot of people that made applying harder even when these people did everything the right way. I wouldn't risk trying to cut corners to get LORs and transcripts in a few days or even months earlier...just use the LOR and Transcript matching forms. If you open your AADSAS account on the first day and print those forms and have your LORs and transcripts sent...you will still be in the first early rounds of apps...don't give AADSAS more ways to mess up your application

thanks for the advice

Don't send letters to AADSAS. I may be biased, but last year and this year I had my school send them out to dental schools. Purdue has the same sort of file system as you mentioned. Just tell them to send them out early. I've done that and it works fine. You avoid all the AADSAS hassle.

i sent my LORs to AADSAS through interfolio, so i couldn't attach a sheet. there was no problem, i just made sure to include my AADSAS #.

I sent my LOR's and transcripts to AADSAS, no problem what so ever. And don't worry about trying to send them in earlier than May 15th b/c it will take AADSAS a month to send out your file anyway. Just try to get everything taken care of as they come up (and before June 1st) and there shouldn't be any problems.
