I am a PA looking to become a physician. I was wondering if anyone has been accepted to DO school with similar but not exact prereqs as mentioned on almost every admission website for DO school. For example...does EVERYONE have a full year of organic chemistry or does a half a year of organic plus a half a year of something like bio chem meet the requirements. Also, instead of basic biology for a year is anatomy and physiology for a year ok? Anyone have any idea?

I do not know of ONE medical school (DO or MD) in the U.S. that does not require organic I and II, biology I and II, and physics I and II. Labs included for all those classes.

Unfortunately, there is no "back door" for PA/NP regardless of their credentials.

Good luck with your search.

An MD/DO scholl in the USA: No
the way only around this would 5th pathway perhaps. this does not apply to you.

That is not true: check out KCUMB's reqs at kcumb.edu. I did not take ochem 2 lab. To the OP: at KC, you do have to complete biochem (with or without lab as long as you have meet the # of credit hours in chemistry) you also have to take Genetics in addition to the req amount of bio credits. They counted my anatomy and physiology. You will have to check with the schools, some may not consider it if it states "general biology."
