When the time comes for to apply in May, it'll most likely be to 15+ schools (unless I get some of those 30's that have been floating around on the DAT forum :wtf:). Is there any collection somewhere (thread, certain section on this site, or maybe another site) which contains all the pre-reqs for each dental school?

It would be really convenient to have it all in one place instead of looking for it on 15 school sites which are usually somewhat annoying to navigate around.

The reason I'm writing this is because I just saw in another thread that apparently Midwestern requires microbiology. I thought what is traditionally needed was Bio 1&2, Gen Chem 1&2, Orgo 1&2, Physics 1&2, and some english/lit/writing.

Thanks to anyone who responds.

unfortunately there's not a site that has all of them and you'll need to check each school's dental website individually. it's probably safer that way too because sometimes their prereqs change.

I used the ADEA book and made this for myself. I hope it helps.

hope this helps...

This is a great resource for people who are wanting to get an idea of what schools require. But what makes this even more valuable than the numbers themselves is that the resouce for those numbers is linked. In the military, we have a saying - "Live by the gouge, die by the gouge". No one except Randy knows that this info is 100% correct unless they verify for themselves. SO, I suggest using this to gauge where you are at in your education using this at first, but ultimately you MUST go to the links to check to make sure from the school's website that you definitely have the pre-reqs they require. Otherwise, you have no one but yourselves to blame by yourself if the info is outdated. I am not suggesting it is wrong. Most likely, it is correct. But, I wouldn't gamble my career on anyone's info except my own. I would ultimately check the school's website. Takes all of a few seconds per school. That is what is greatest about Randy's list!

Randy, thank you for that contribution!!

I agree with your statement 100%.

I initially wanted a gauge to determine if there was anything besides the DAT sciences that were typically required amongst dental schools.

Randy's list gave a good breakdown, and the links are really nice.
