I was wondering if anyone knew TRULY what privileges optometrists have regarding prescribing authority for drugs.

I know it varies from state to state, but does anyone know what MD/VA/or PA's regulations are?

I think you answered your own question. It is state regulated.

It really is difficult to give the exact specifications but the best way to find out about this sort of information is to go to your state's board of optometry. At least that is what I did when I was trying to learn about this topic. I hope this helps. 🙂
