Prescription question

Maybe someone here can answer my question! Id walk to CVS and ask my pharmacist, but were in the middle of a massive torrential downpour from some pesky pop up summer storms! plus -you can show off your vast knowledge of the practice.

I am from upstate New York and just got a one year refill RX for my BCP. I am on my way down to Florida next week to finish up my Bio Degree. Can i take a prescription issued in New York, and use it at a FL drugstore? Or do i take it to my current pharmacy now, and have them transfer it when I get down?

Or maybe you can do either one? Let me know if this makes sense and you have any advice to offer !

I'm not sure of Florida law so I can't say for sure. I would take the new prescription to Florida and attempt to get it filled there. If you take it to your local NY pharmacy, Fruit Fly is 100% correct, NY only transfers one refill at a time.

Thanks a bunch guys! I still have a few refills left on my previous script, so when I go Ill have that taken care of and sorted out.
