I was reading through charting outcomes 2009 and noticed that a factor was number of presentations by the applicant.

I would like to know what is the criteria for a presentation to be usable on a residency application. I have done a number of presentations in my academic time, both class presentations but also presentations/seminars in front of a panel of professors such as my 4th year undergraduate thesis.

Basically what presentations count? and how do I verify them on my application. I'm a M1/2 by the way.

Thank you

Presentations refers to presentations (posters or talks) at professional meetings where you present work that you did or helped with. (Generally) Undergrad stuff doesn't count. Not looking for presentations done for a class or just in front of some of your professors.

That's my 2 cents anyway.

I think "presentations" refers to presenting research projects that you've done at professional research meetings/conferences/symposiums (as previous poster mentioned), not class presentations.
